I still didnt get answer from columbia and berkeley  not sure about berkeley but Columbia said they will return their decisions in late February or early march but early march is passing now!! DX

does it mean i didnt get in? Or do i still have hope?  its killing me ?

I am right there with you. The application reply-by deadlines are coming up fast, and I haven't heard anything either. From what I gathered, it means the university hasn't made formal decisions yet. I'm guessing that if it was going to be a NO that you would have heard right away. This means that you made it through at least the first round. It's a delicate game, and i'm tired of waiting for it to end!

Don't fret, @kittybang. Some universities are not as strict with the results date as you may think. Also, early March could be any date before the 15th. You could always send them an email, but I would wait one more week at least.

I just got an answer yesterday and it was a yes. It just depends on the program and when they typically send things out.

I am with you too. My interview was Feb 19th and they said they will have interviews the following week, and the next week which was last week was spring break. This was where my hopes were coming from. Although now I feel it is just going to be No in the end, I can't concentrate on anything. Let's hope it will be a Yes for both of us, opposed to my expectation.

I feel you. It could be possible that the university wants to make their decisions until every invited applicant finishes their interview. Some people might have scheduling conflicts and would not be able to attend interviews until as late as March. 

I understand how hard waiting is (I myself check email every 5 seconds), but since we've already waited for several months, please have hopes and be patient for the last month or so

I also applied to Columbia, it ME. no news at all. i searched in the results, fairly quiet this year. there were many decisions by this time last year

Don't stress too much! I applied to a program (not at Columbia or Berkeley, though) where decisions were supposed to be released by early March, and I just got an acceptance this afternoon. A delay in a decision definitely doesn't automatically mean it's a rejection.
