art_vandelay
Seems like there isn't anyone who heard anything on this site. It's almost mid-march now and the auto response says decisions will be mailed to applicants by GSAS beginning in mid to late March. So if we haven't heard anything till then, does that mean we will receive a rejection mail? Or is there a delay this year? Does anyone have any information? purplebird
If you look carefully, under harvard university, somebody did report acceptance by deas for ee phd on 02/18/2007. Scary isnt it? I am also waiting and have not heard from them.

art_vandelay
any news from computer science?
Othello
The visit day for all of DEAS (applied math, applied physics, computer science, EE, etc) was a week ago. I'm sure you're either wait-listed or rejected if you haven't heard by now.
thecup
Othello, I was wondering how the open house went? I'm on the waitlist for their Applied Physics program, so I was wondering if it looked like most of the people there were planning to accept Harvard's offer. (Actually, I'm curious if anyone looked like they were going to decline the offer). Congrats on the acceptance by the way.
Othello
thecup, The open house was pretty standard - facutly presentations, faculty meetings, tours, etc. I would say most of the people I spoke to were leaning towards accepting Harvard's offer if they hadn't already made up their mind. As for me, I'm quite certain I'm going to attend Stanford instead for their materials science program. Good luck, and I hope you get my spot. thecup
Othello, thanks for the info. I wish you the best of luck. For everyone else who is waitng for a DEAS response (actually, its SEAS now, buy anyways), I got notified on the March 10th (the letter was dated the 8th). They sent a form I had to respond to. I had to indicate if I accepted the place on the waitlist and if my financial status had changed. If you haven't heard from them by now, try contacting them. Best of luck! StudentofThoth
I got reply from Harvard GSAS in mid feb. If that helps. I am sure it varies greatly by departments.
durlov
i just finally got an acceptance (4/5/07). applied to ee phd but didn't qualify for it, according to the prof. instead i got accepted for s.m. in cs. it's still good for me since i want to study vlsi and comp arch and for that it seems it doesn't matter whether i get into cs or ee.
