Kent State University Applicants

Hi everyone, I am leaning towards attending Kent State University in the fall. I was wondering if anyone else got accepted to this program (or any other Ohio schools) and was considering attending.

Yay! Thanks for replying, this is a super broad question, but how are you enjoying the program and is there anything I should know going in? They don't seem to have any accepted graduate visit days until orientation in August. 

Also, I visited on my own a few times to look for apartments, and that's been super difficult in itself. So any recommendations on housing as well?

I received an acceptance in my "clutter" mail 3/1 and then last week I received 2 separate pieces of mail acceptance letters through the post. 

I'm not sure if they send out their acceptances in waves.

Do you know anything about how many students they get/take for the spring?

I was accepted to KSU's Program for the Fall 2016! I am not sure if I am attending as I am waiting to hear back from the traineeship that was offered with the huge funding. That will help me decide my ultimate decision as it is out of state cost!

Congrats on being accepted! I hope the funding works out for you, so far none of my acceptances have come with any funding. Update on when you hear back  Also where else have you applied/been accepted?

Phd in biomedical science and did my interviews at feb 25, the app portal (24 march) shows decision made and graduate decision letter sent but i have not recieved any mails....do they take time to sent the emails???? any idea???  Thanks in advance :-)

I'm not really sure because for my program we didn't even have interviews. I would try searching the forum for your program  good luck!

Congrats to you too!! I got the traineeship! Full tuition for my first year is paid for and a monthly stipend! I have officially committed to Kent State University! 

I applied to 8 schools. Edinboro University of PA (accepted 3/16), Kent State University (accepted 2/29), California University of PA (accepted 4/1), University of Pittsburgh (waitlisted), West Virginia University(never heard back), Bowling Green State University (waitlisted), SUNY-Fredonia (waitlisted), IUP (never heard back).
