  1. I have had a paid internship in the field for the past year and a half. Of course, I don't work on any speech related goals. However, I tutor children and teenagers in academic areas with ASD and strictly adhere to their IEP's (academic section). In addition, I run a social skills group for three teenagers (high-functioning Autism). The pay is the only negative aspect about the internship. I am gaining a plethora of experience and it has really aided in boosting my application. So, what I am trying to say is that there are some paid internships out there. A year and half ago I was calling places around my area for volunteer opportunities and it turned out that one of the companies had a part time paid position available. Search, search, search because they are out there.
  2. For those who applied to Kent State University - I checked my portal and it says, "decision made; graduate decision letter sent." Should I be expecting a rejection through the mail? Has anyone had this message? No sugar coating. Thanks!
  3. Has anyone heard from Cleveland State University? Accepted, waitlisted, rejected? Thank you in advance!!
  4. Has anyone heard anything from Armstrong State University - Savannah, GA?
  5. RFutureSLP Hello. Just out of curiosity and if you are willing to share, when did you receive an acceptance? Was it through email or postal? Thank you in advance!
  6. The university is not in a good area of town. The whole campus is gated in and the outskirts resemble a ghost town. I visited the school when vacationing in the south and I was highly surprised. In regards to the program itself, I am unsure of its competitiveness or strength. Hope this helps!
  7. Has anyone heard from Kent State University? Thank you!
