SLP Concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorders?

Does anyone know any grad schools that have a concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorders? I know MGH Institute of Health Professions does but they're incredibly expensive.

Hi!  I had another person ask me a similar question, so I'll place it here.

I'll give you an abridged summary of it in this message because that document hasn't updated since 2014. 

CSULB - has 6 specialized clinics (including an autism clinic); offers an autism course; more clinical based; has a hospital next door; good reputation for multilingual and multicultural experience; Long Beach city has great diversity

SFSU - has many clinics that specialize in working with children; offers specialized programs in autism and AAC; SF is known for its diversity in population; more diversity and experience in client population; statistics says high acceptance rate

SJSU - many specialized clinics (including autism I think); diversity in population; more diversity and experience in client population; clients focus on children AND adults; not as expensive as SF in living costs; has a bigger class of 40

Redlands - has several specialized clinics (including autism); outdoor playground (good for clinic sessions); has a bilingual emphasis (especially Spanish)

UT Dallas - very diverse; good autism program; accepts more students

Just a heads up, Sfa's autism clinic and apartment are for a different program. ULM recently started a clinic for asd. There are however special education certificates you can get for autism and developmental disabilities.

Hey just to tack on to this University of Nebraska Lincoln allows you to take electives and works closely with the special education department so while it isn't an exact specialization there are opportunities there.

And UTD has some cool things to offer as well Dr. Rollins research on Autism is really incredibly interesting i'll try to find a link.  If you are interested in Autism I would definitely check out UTD!  I'll be attending there in the Fall so could answer program questions better at that time but it has a lot of opportunities!

There's a professor at UMass Amherst whose specialty is autism research. She has gotten 2 grants to fund graduate fellowships over the past decade, so it's definitely worth checking out.

One of the schools in FL has an autism track. I can't remember it off the top of my head, but if no one else chimes in, ASHA's EdFind will list all the schools in FL and you can check out their webpages.
