Clondon Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Hello, I am currently an undergraduate student about to begin the application process for Speech Pathology masters program. I am looking at schools in the U.S. as well as in the U.K. (in London). I was wondering if anyone has done this before and has any suggestions? I do not have an undergraduate degree in SLP either. I am also wondering how difficult it can be to move back to the U.S. and receive ASHA certification and practice in the U.S. after receiving my masters abroad. Any tips, suggestions, comments would be much appreciated!
babykoala Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 ASHA has a mutual recognition agreement with RCSLT. Out of curiosity, why study in the UK? Wouldn't it be insanely expensive, especially in London?
SLPtobe22 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 How cool! I wonder how different it would be!? - Following this thread to see what comes up
Clondon Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 I have and EU passport so many of the programs in London are free for EU citizens. Is the RCSLT an equivalent to ASHA?

Is the RCSLT an equivalent to ASHA? IIRC, they have an affiliation agreement, so are mutually recognized. After Article 50 is invoked, I wonder if Brexit will impact this?
Clondon Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 thanks for your help!! and yes it will probably be different in 2 years time!
Clondon Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 Does anyone know how different the programs are? and what all they entail?
