I was planning on (for aerospace though), but I'm not too convinced on the type of research they do. What's your area of interest?

My research interest is in air quality modeling.

Bro, will it be a good idea on applying to CU Boulder for PhD on Chemical engineering, now ? 

Here's my complete profile: 

GRE: 311 (Q-162, V- 149, AWA- 4.0)
TOEFL: 104 ( S26, L27, W28, R23)
CGPA: 2.74 / 4.00 (i know it's quite low)
Publication: 1 (in progress)
Conference paper: 1 (2nd author) 
Teaching experience: 5 months (and continuing)

Research interest: energy, gas, petroleum, biofuel

rup831, I am sorry to say this, but you have a very slim to no chance of getting into any top Engineering program. Most Graduate schools need a minimum of 3.0/4.0 GPA to even consider your application. So, it will be a miracle if your application makes it past the preliminary screening process.
