slouching Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 I wouldn't bother. The personal statement is something that requires concision, and since it's assumed that you appreciate being considered, I'd use the space to say something else instead.

But if you currently only have an abrupt ending, having the last sentence be something like you suggest is better than suddenly ending. An even better solution would be to have your last paragraph build up to a natural ending though.
sivakumaranandan Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 I believe SOP is very important only opportunity to establish your research interests and motivation to admissions committee. You can still have a warm salutation and crisp thank you not , if you are determined.
