virtua Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Hi guys, I`m planning to take a student loan, the problem is I don`t have valid US bank card, so they wont be able to deposit it through direct deposit, but they can deposit it to my student account. So I wonder, if I have some money on my student account, will I be able to withdraw it somehow? I mean, get in cash

I mean, get in cash In my experience, you will only be able to receive that money via cash/check if the money that is deposited into your account is greater than the outstanding balance - if you owe the university $30,000 for tuition and you take out a loan for $40,000, you will get $10,000 in a check.
MarineBluePsy Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Is your student account attached to a prepaid debit card? Most Universities make this an option for students who don't have bank accounts. They load your refund on the card and then you can swipe it at stores or take it to designated atm's to withdraw cash. Check with your financial aid office about this.
