maurmaur Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I was browsing what universities haven't had their deadlines yet in order to see if there was anywhere else I was interested in. (Really just to reduce my anxiety). The school is only 18 years old and is starting an MS for SLP program this upcoming year. They already offer a clinical doctorate. What do you all think of it? The school sounds good on paper but it's a brand new program!
speechie575 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I applied to this school! It's the only one I applied to out of the NY area. I like that it's a MedSLP program which is why I applied, but it does worry me that it's brand new. We'll see what happens!

plume Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 I don't know if this matters at all to you, but I thought I would mention it... I lived in Salt Lake City for a few years, and I know that Provo is a very suburban town and its population is mostly LDS (I think it's about 95% LDS). I just thought I would mention this as it would be a bit of a cultural shock for me to live there since I am not Mormon. Utah is amazing and Salt Lake City is a cool city if you know where to look! Also, I feel like I have to leave a disclaimer: I have many LDS friends and have absolutely nothing against the faith!!!!

I kind of assumed, just having grown up in AZ with friends in Utah, there is a stereotype so I figured there would be a decently sized population.
