maurmaur Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Hello! I am currently waiting on 3 waitlists all of which I'd probably accept over the school I'm accepted to and am planning on accepting. That school I don't have to pay a deposit until the 26th. How long are you guys waiting for waitlists and letting that keep you from picking a school?
plume Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 I had to decide by the 15th, so I did and am okay with losing my deposit if I accept a position off of a waitlist. I am personally willing to wait as long as I can before I have to start locking down plans for the school that I already accepted (which is about May 1st). If I had longer before I needed to find a place to live and take classes then I would wait. Did you decide not to do Northeastern?

It's between that and another school both of which gave me an end of April deadline to accept and pay my deposit. Northeastern is however double the price of the other school. So I don't know yet.
AlwaysaFalcon Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Last year when I was on waitlists for schools I heard anywhere between now and June...so unfortunately its hard to say..depends on how much patience you have to wait and how quickly those that have been accepted reply to schools.
speechietx Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I'm currently on 3 waitlist.. for those of you who have applied before when did you start acting on plan B. For example, I will need to retake the GRE and will most likely look into buying a study program but I don't want to buy it too soon. Should I wait until Mid- may? I also want to email schools to see to see where I can improve my application but I feel like I can't do that until I've officially been rejected.
