shadowistics Posted November 18, 2017 Author Posted November 18, 2017 Update: TOEFL : 103 and 2 papers were published and presented in total. I am still struggling with trying to determine which universities I should aim, any suggestion? One more question, is it a disadvantage applying as a CS student for a PhD in Statistics?
Bayesian1701 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 I am also an applicant for this cycle so I am not an expert. However, since you are an international student and you need funding I would focus on middle-tier and lower-tier programs. How much math do you have? Do you have any experience with proof based mathematics? Also are you interested in Bayesian statistics? My suggestions on schools to start are: Virginia Tech, Missouri, Kansas State, Florida State, and Baylor to start.
