rmp2000 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I have already sent out applications that require LOR. However, I was curious about if there were grad schools that didn't require LOR. The lack of extra hassle of tracking whether recommenders submit by the deadline etc would be greatly welcome. I guess this can also include grad schools that don't require LOR for normal admission, but probably would for the funding aspect. rmp2000
joro Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 There are some schools that have the LOR as optional and some that don't even require it. A school that has optional LORs would be USC for a MS in Computer Science. Even if it is optional, I would still submit LORs anyways.
Genomic Repairman Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I am pretty sure most if not all grad schools require LOR's. They have to rely on some outside form of evaluation about you besides your grades, GRE scores, and your SOP. I have honestly never heard of a school that does not require one. I'm sure it would look really bad if you didn't submit one even if they are not required. dant.gwyrdd, October, newms and 1 other 2 2
snowballed Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 The SOAS Distance Education Msc in Sustainable Development does not require any LORs.
