eadillard Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 Hi all, I am looking for an online program for a bachelor's in communicative disorders. I work strange hours so I would need a program that has strictly asynchronous instruction. Not including field work, of course, if required. I have been looking at Utah State and ENMU, the latter looks like it's asynchronous but I'm unsure of Utah State. Any recommendations, experiences, tips appreciated! I'm not sure at this point whether I'll be a 1st bachelor's or 2nd bachelor's student; I lack 10 classes for my B.S. in psychology, but would hate to lose my Pell Grant if I do finish that degree.
zurako Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 You can watch the lectures whenever you want for USU. For most classes, you just have to submit the assignments by a certain date, and the exams are typically open for 4-7 days so it's very suitable for people who work!
BeachySpeechy Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 USU’s online platform (Canvas) is absolutely outstanding. I feel that the courses prepared me well for grad school. I would highly recommend their program.
Jeff Munn Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I'll throw in my recommendation for USU. I just finished their program and was extremely happy with it. 100% flexible schedule, so you can go at your own pace. You can even watch all the lectures and take the test the day it's due if you want (not recommended) Some teachers had live Q&A sessions, but even those were recorded for later viewing. There were one or two teachers that I thought were less than stellar. All the rest were really good.
kataphora Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I'm going through USU too! I agree that there's a couple classes that are meh, but overall I've found it to be really a positive experience.
jessinjapan Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 For those of you that did the USU 2nd degree program, did you finish the degree in the 3 semesters or was it necessary to space it out while working? I work 8-4 Mon-Fri and I want to make sure I don't take on too much at once and not get the grades I want
