Finally committed to going to Tyler, and SFAI called out of the blue and offered me a huge scholarship (basically free school). Looks like I am SF bound! ps. bargaining can work guys!

Got a HUGE scholarship from SFAI today that covers just about everything. I feel bad turning down other schools (especially since I already turned in my deposit for one.. oops) but I can't turn this deal down. Funding can happen later on! Dont be afraid to negotiate guys if they really want you they will make it worth your while!

Accepted for Spring 2016! Probably going but still waiting on word from a couple schools. On my acceptance letter (email) it says I will receive the official one via snail mail in September. So I believe this means that Spring people have a bit more time to accept the offer

Can't decide between a couple schools right now. Tyler offered me a free semester in Rome but then can't guarantee me funding the other 3 semesters, which really sucks because I want to go there the most. Im torn about it but I feel I may have to decline. I just can't justify taking out all those loans so I am really leaning towards Hunter starting in the spring. Hunter is soooooo cheap for NY and is also a really good school. Of all the highly ranked MfA programs it has to be the best bang for your buck. Im also on the waitlist for VCU though and really want to see how that works out as well. I also interviewed with Columbia a few weeks ago and still haven't heard back. I know they probably won't offer much funding (and i therefore wouldn't go) but it bothers me that I haven't heard back. Gaaahhhh I thought I would have figured all this out by now. Maybe I am just bad at making decisions?

UCLA-rejected UC Berkeley- rejected VCU- 1st on waitlist, visiting in April UT Austin- waitlisted Hunter- Accepted SFAI- Accepted with a little funding Tyler- Accepted 50% plus a free semester abroad in Rome Columbia- interviewed, still waiting.. Looks like I am probably going to Tyler! They've offered me a great deal and a chance at a really amazing experience overseas. Columbia was my first choice (visited twice, they probably have the bombest program) but I can't justify paying for it when i've been offered a better deal at Tyler. Unless I get an even better deal at VCU it looks like I am Tyler bound There all great programs though, I wish I could do all of them...Congrats and good luck to everyone else!! btw, if you weren't accepted anywhere this year, another year can be really useful! I didn't get in anywhere last year and I think the extra time gave me a big boost

Accepted into Tyler! I was told I would only pay basically half of everything including a TA assistantship in Rome the very first semester. Kind of intimidated to study abroad first thing but its the best offer i've gotten so far

Got an interview for Columbia Painting!! Super excited now Interview at tyler went really well, it was really relaxing and conversational. Also Philadelphia seems like a great city! I think admissions decisions are happening for a lot of schools this week, good luck y'all! Had Skype interviews with VCU and Austin last weekend both for painting... I think they went ok but VCU asks tough questions Interviews with Tyler and SFAI this weekend and feeling way more prepared now that I had the other two previous interviews, I feel now like I know what to expect. Anyone heard from Berkeley, Columbia, Hunter, or UCLA?

I think so, Im going for the in person one at Tyler but have to do Skype interviews at other schools because they wanted me to come on the same weekend Tyler wanted me. They are totally cool with it I think as long as you explain your situation.

Anybody know if UC Irvine is good for painting/drawing? Looking for maybe one or two more schools to apply to last minute in CA Columbia Hunter VCU Temple SFAI Berkeley UCLA UT Austin
