  1. Awsomee!! The end of waiting games. I am going to UC Davis, Chemical Engineering and Material Science!!!

  2. "We would also like to offer you a full CHMS Nonresident Supplemental Tuition Fellowship (currently $15,102) for your first five quarters of graduate study. Presuming you successfully pass your qualifying exam and advance to candidacy during your fifth quarter of enrollment (Winter 2015), your Nonresident Supplemental Tuition will be eliminated for the following three years." What does this mean???

so you mean that I will not pay for the first 5 terms? Thanks :) That's great. I am going to accept their offer :)

you won't pay for 15,201 of it. I'm thinking that may only be the difference between resident and nonresident tuition?

It doesn't specify where it will be paying your IN-state, so if they haven't offered you that in a separate correspondence, you may be responsible for that. You won't have to pay the extra that they charge for out-of-state, which is what they're offering to pay in this correspondence.

  3. Hi everyone, I have a serious problem. Two days ago I accepted Iowa State University's offer for PhD program in Chemical Engineering. Today I was accepted to UC Davis and want to attend there. Can I change my mind? Is it illegal? Will be any penalties? Waiting for your response!!!!!!!!!
  4. Hi. I have applied to University of Minnesota, Chemical Engineering PhD 2013 Program. Last week I got an e-mail notifying me that I am on waitlist. Do I have chances to get an offer? Is there anybody who is not going to admit their offer? Please, can you answer and give me a hope. [P.S. I hope I will be there in August]
  5. Those who were accepted to University of Minnesota, Chemical Engineering PhD program, but decided to not attend this school please inform them ASAP. I am on a waitlist and I really desire this school. Thanks for your help.

  6. I have officially received only two rejections: WashU and UC Berkeley One official offer: Iowa State University Three official waitlists: University of Minnesota, Purdue, University of Michigan No news from University of Delaware and UC Davis. However, I heard that Delaware did sent rejections. Am I on a waitlist??? It is so strange. Anyway, I got offer from Iowa State University. And I hope that UMN will accept me Note: Please, those who were accepted to UMN but do not want to attend, inform them asap. Thanks

    ENOUGH???

Firstly, thanks for your reply. Aw is 4.0. I guess my TOEFL result will supplant verbal part since I got 106. That is a decent score, though , well TOEFL much more easier. Should I apply? promptly my profile: 1) 3 gold medal in national and 2 bronze medals in international chemistry olymp ( well, it is high school heyday) 2) double major: Chemical Eng ( major) and Chemistry (2nd major). It is really difficult to make DM in Turkey since one will take about 12 courses in smstr. Lots of labs, projects.... besides, my univ. is the best in Turkey (METU, Ankara) 3) 3rd in ChE and in top 5 stdnts in Chem (high school was not wasted ) 4) about 3 month research in Chem and 3 month( going on) in ChE. ( it is really diff-lt to be accepted for research in Turkey in undegrad years.) 5) worked one year as a teacher for chemistry olympiad team and was TA for freshmen chemistry students. Conducted 2 month of compulsory summer practice ( glass and sugar productions) 6) SoP is not ready 7) LoR will be decent. They know me very well. 2 of them from Iowa State.... I am beholden for your honest replies.... Thanks...

    ENOUGH???

I've just taken the GRE and scored 153-verbal and 165-quant. I am an inten-l student (from Turkey) and applying to Chemical Engineering for MS/PhD. Would you mind telling me are these scores good enough for: 1. Cornell 2. Iowa State 3. University of Iowa 4. Brown 5. Washington University in St. Louis 6. Wisconsin-Madison
