OK- i changed my mind I am interviewing.. Friday, Feb 22 at 1:30.. GOODLUCK!
-
i'm not sure if i'm going to interview, but if i do, i will go the first friday if it's available!
-
i did tooooo!
-
I submitted on September 28 for all the NYC schools.. so the wait is getting the worst of me! And when I applied to NYU the turnaround time may have been a lot quicker because I applied so early-- don't get negative on yourself! good luck!
-
I am from CT so UCONN is obviously the best price wise, but I would love a change of scenery on the West Coast! Goodluck to you, too!
-
I found out 10 days after I applied I got into NYU with an academic scholarship.. that was in September when there were probably less applications... but they are generally quick to reply.. I would think within two weeks.
-
I applied in September an haven't heard anything. I emailed them yesterday.. they said all applicants will know by May 1... some people on the thread for "applications 2013" said the status on their application page says "pending interview".. other than that, not much buzz on Hunter!
-
still better than nothing! and from what i've heard, NYU gives more scholarship $$ than Fordham..
-
congrats! did they mention scholarship in the acceptance?
-
Anyone applying to UCONN? Heard anything? I submitted in September and have yet to hear anything besides the generic "FAFSA due on March 1" email....
-
Where are you applying? Applicants for 2013 =)

I know NYU doesn't, i'm not sure about fordham. Their communication has been less than ideal compared to NYU, and their website is more general. -
September. I was early! I already hear back from Fordham and NYU so Hunter is the last of my city schools. you?
-
i believe they interview you before they accept you... was your "pending interview" status on your main application page? like the one you log into with your pin?

When I got in, I got an email of the official letter, which is also being sent to my home address! good luck ) -
Ya it stinks! But i saw on another thread some people's application status now says "pending interview". I'm not sure where they saw that because my application page doesn't say anything. so not sure, but hopefully soon we will hear something! good luck

nothinggggg, besides they admitted all spring applicants first.. and i applied in september for fall 2013....
-
yay, congrats!

NYU emailed me the admission decision was made and I had to log into my application website to view my acceptance letter. The scholarship was listed in the letter. I had two weeks to deposit $200 to hold my place. So i deposited, but am still waiting on other schools! Fordham emailed me as well, with a follow up postal letter. There was no financial information, but I did not fill out a FAFSA, so I am most likely not eligible for financial aid.
-
There wasn't any information on it.. but I didn't fill out a FAFSA, so I may not be eligible. The information on the VIP page says you have to fill out a FAFSA to be eligible. Right now, I am leaning toward NYU since they gave me a very nice scholarship, which was included in my acceptance letter. Hope you hear back soon!

I just heard from Fordham after applying in Septmeber.. still waiting on Hunter! THANKS for all the info! I just heard from Fordham (1/29) after applying in September and haven't heard anything from Hunter yet.. I totally agree with your pet peeve of the phone calls! Fordham seemed a lot more informative and helpful via phone! Just wondering, are you also applying to NYU? Hunter, Fordham and NYU seem the most comparable in NYC, and I applied to all three so just wondering if you were, too! Your info session responses are very helpful! Goodluck! -
Got into Fordham last night.. they emailed me at 7:15pm! I applied September 28, but as I said before, they told me they were admitting all those applicants for Spring before they admitted any Fall... so it actually took them longer than the 4-6 week they say they will let you know by! But hopefully they are getting things rolling now! But good luck to all! February should be a month of acceptances for many! )

I emailed them to ensure everything was complete-- it says rolling and I submitted everything by the end of September and haven't heard so I was concerned. They said they always finish Spring acceptances and get them all starting before they notify fall acceptances.. but said in the next few weeks they should start notifying those who are admitted for Fall 2013.. so goodluck to all ) -

I know i'm not mstea, but I applied to NYU end of September and found out 10 days later.. and they put my scholarship package in the acceptance letter which is more convenient than waiting around for financial aid info! Hope that helps, mswhopeful2013! -
Hey there! As far as I can tell, Fordham and NYU are seemingly the same.. Almost identically ranked (Fordham #11 and NYU #16) with similar prices and location... I applied to both as well (submitted applications on 9/28/2012) and heard back from NYU about 10 days later but have yet to hear anything from Fordham... which is discouraging because they have "rolling admission". I got a pretty good academic scholarship from NYU, so for me personally, if Fordham accepts me and doesn't provide any scholarship funds, I will go with NYU. From those I have talked to in the program, both are exceptional for clinical focus, with great field placements. Because we won't be getting rich as Social Workers, I would go with whichever one is more financially doable for you, since the programs seem so similar on paper. Hope this helps!

I actually didn't fill out a FAFSA or anything for financial aid.. in my "decision letter" they said I received an academic scholarship and listed the amount right on it!
