Hello everyone,
I am from India and currently studying towards a Bachelor of Technology in Engineering Physics. I am interested in applying for a MS (or PhD) in materials science and engineering for Fall 2013. Briefly, here is my profile:
GRE: 328 (Verbal-163, Quantitative-165, AWA-4.5)
I have given TOEFL, but the results are not out yet.
Undergraduate GPA (till the end of 3rd year): 8.35 on 10
I have prior research experience in the relevant field and have received of one of the most prestigious undergraduate research fellowship in India, and I believe I would get good LORs.
I would really appreciate some information on ambitious and fair universities I could apply to, based on my profile. Also, my interests significantly overlap with biomedical sciences too, primarily because I aim to work in the development of nanomaterials for bio-sensing applications. So, should I go for biomedical engineering programs or stay on to materials science?
I have shortlisted the following till now: Johns Hopkins, University of Wisconsin-Madison, RiceU, Renesselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rochester Institute of Technology, Case Western and UPenn; apart from a few in Europe.
Please offer me some advice.
Thanks!
