I got accepted to my top choice yesterday! To celebrate I went out with my husband and had a nice dinner. I am rewarding myself by taking lessons to learn to play my new alto saxophone! I start on Monday

I have one more Monday to go and hopefully I should hear something from one of my programs. I wish I could fast forward time!I Because of this application process, I put everything in Microsoft Word and spell check it. Even the contents of the subject line. After my interview last week, I sent a message to my POI with the subject of "Thank You" and I spell checked that too. Crazy right? Speaking of interviews, the wait for an admissions decision after being interviewed is brutal

As of yesterday, I am losing my mind a little less (keep reading for the reason). While sitting in the vet's office for my dog's annual check-up, I noticed I had a couple of new emails. When I checked my email, graduate school was not on my mind (I was too busy trying to calm down a very nervous dog), so when I opened up my email to see a message with the subject "Greetings from [insert name of University]", I nearly screamed and did a happy dance! It was my POI from my top choice program letting me know he'd like to interview me over the phone!!! I am so excited, but also so nervous. Wish me luck!!

I communicated with someone in the admissions office recently and it looks like decisions will be sent out in early February (pretty consistent with what is on the results page from previous years).
