I just got an unofficial acceptance from a POI...it sat in my email inbox for over 3 hours because I was so sure I wouldn't hear anything today. Why am I a little angry with myself?

My invitation specifically stated that attire for the recruitment weekend was business casual, and I get the sense that people in the program are more informal. I plan on packing a business option (i.e. interview suit) just in case though. I think business casual is a safe bet, but you could certainly call the person coordinating your visit to see what is expected.

One of my application statuses has recently been updated to "decision made and sent to Grad school". Any idea how long it takes a grad admissions office to accept or reject applicants based on the department's recommendation?
