  1. So I've seen a rejection, an interview, and a waitlist for Syracuse in the last two days. I've gotten nothing! Anyone else in the same boat?
  2. UTK sent out interviews a little while back. Sorry
  3. Would the University of New Mexico poster be willing to PM their POI? Thanks!
  4. I think University of Oregon had their interviews last weekend.
  5. Thanks everyone! I decided to fly out the day of the grad student dinner, which is the day before interviews. I also made sure to get a nonstop flight Fingers crossed for a smooth travel day!
  6. Anyone claiming the Vermont post? I would love to know if it came from a POI, and if so, who?!
  7. They are offering housing with grad students Friday/Sat night, with the dinner with grad students being on Fri night. So if I go early (i.e., Thurs), I am looking at getting a hotel. Otherwise, I could fly out Friday morning and get in Friday afternoon, presumably in time for the dinner.
  8. I would technically be flying in the day before interviews. The only thing planned for that day is the dinner with grad students. But still, I'd hate to make a bad impression by being late.
  9. Hi Everyone! For those of you who are traveling for interviews, are you traveling the day of? I have an out of state interview coming up and am trying to decide if arriving in the afternoon is a safe bet, or if I should consider flying out the day before and getting settled. I'd love to hear your thoughts and what others are doing in this situation. Thanks!
  10. For the Auburn poster..did the email come from your POI or from the school? Could you msg me your POI?
  11. UT-Knoxville POI said his invites already went out. At least I can stop hoping for that one now..
  12. I had a similar situation. One of my first author papers was "provisionally accepted" and another 3rd author paper was accepted. I sent an updated CV to my POIs (only ones that I had some previous communication with) and asked them if it were possible to update my application. Maybe I should have sent it to the admin people, but I figured it mattered most to those I am interested in working with. On that note, I did get one positive email back, so maybe it is worth it!
  13. Do you know if the invites covered all specilaization areas? I'm particulary interested if they covered the Community/Prevention area. ASU is my top choice so now I am really freaking out!
  14. This is my second time applying and really can't imagine not getting at least one offer this time around, so I haven't let myself think about backup plans just yet. I have a research position at the VA, so I am in a good place if I don't get in though. I am not sure I could go through this agony a third time around, so hopefully this is it!
  15. Usually it says in the prompt, but this one didn't say to include that. It was more generic, like why this program. Maybe I should have just played it safe and included it anyway! I guess it's too late now..
  16. Hi All, Hope you are all dealing with the anxiety of waiting better than I am! Did anyone apply to Palo Alto University? I saw someone on the results page said they were contacted by the POI that they want to work with, but I don't recall any place in the application to note that. Now I am worried I missed something!
  17. Yes, if it does turn out I do not get in anywhere this year, I will reapply. At least that is my plan!
  18. finishing my Master's thesis and going to Europe!
  19. So, all of the schools I applied to have sent out invites (according to the results page), and I haven't heard a peep other than a few rejection letters. I am starting to think I might be out of the running. Is anyone else experiencing this "loss of hope"? Does your "plan B" make things better or worse?
  20. I am in the same boat as you. I haven't heard much of anything and visiting the forum everyday doesn't make me feel much better about it. I tried to email the secretary of one school but she didn't respond, and my advisor said to only email professors if you have something concrete to share. It is terrible, but I think we just have to wait it out! Good luck to you!
  21. Hi everyone, I love reading all of your positive posts! I applied to six programs, and have heard from two. One was a mass email rejection letter and the other included an email/phone call from a grad student at one of my top schools to discuss the application process and if I had any questions (thought it was an omen). Unfortunately, that was about 3 weeks ago and she told me they were sending invites by the beginning of the week after we spoke . This whole process is so tough and stressful! I wish they could just tell us already! Anyway, good luck to everyone and I hope everyone gets good news very soon!
