Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone has heard back from UCLA since their second interview date is coming up in March. I saw someone post that they were invited last week, but I also saw someone say that they received a rejection email and on the website. That being said, I've heard nothing back yet and it still said my decision was pending on the decision link... so I am just wondering. Thanks guys... any info would be appreciated. Cheers!

This is the case with me a couple of years ago. There was no penalty levied against me. My department asked for one sent directly to them so for CSU Mentor, I just submitted the same one. Best bet is to call up your department and ask.

Just a scenario that happened to me: One potential PI that I email did not reply back to my email for ~three months. I decided to send another email (too interested in the lab to sit and twiddle my thumbs) and finally I received a reply. It was an apology that my email was pushed so far down in his email that he didn't see it because he was on sabbatical! You never know... Most other professors told me to contact them again after I got accepted... This, I don't know what to make of...

I only applied to one ivy and was told that final decisions are made mid to late Feb (at least in my department) and should be able to know my status in a week or two.
