I still don't fully believe those posts (mostly cause I don't want to) but I do know UVA has a tendency to release their decisions slowly, and from what it seems, with little rhyme or reason. Hopefully we'll start hearing sometime in the next few weeks but who knows!

I freaked out when i saw this too, but looks like whoever posted it was in the batch of acceptances yesterday... Still would like to know which field...?

Weird gradcafe question (that I feel I should have figured out by now, but know my knowledge of computers is too limited for): to those of you who have your list of applied, accepted and rejected schools at the bottom of your posts, how did you do that?

If you type in political science into the search bar then you can see all the polisci posts. http://thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=political+science Some people post comments about their acceptances or rejections. And re the gre's and gpa's: on my page anyways, there's a little red diamond in the colum for rejection and acceptance if someone choses to disclose their GPAs and GRE scores. Hope that helps!

Any theorists heard back from UCLA at all?

I'm one of the admits for UofM - it seems their taking their time sending out admissions notices, but from what I gathered on the phone yesterday, it sounds like it's wrapping up soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I agree with this prediction - also throwing in Columbia in the third week of February. I know they've had their first meeting already and they typically aim for the third week. (And if I remember correctly, someone posted they had talked to someone in the department office who said the same thing)

Also waiting on Chicago - I know from friends who have applied in the past that they generally get back to ppl pretty early in February, so we'll see! Fingers crossed!

To the person who got into UVA (if you're on this forum of course), first off major congrats! Second: where on the website did it say you had been admitted? did you go into your application or is there a status checker I'm not aware of? Just curuious so I can have one more site to hit refresh on....

Thank you! I was seriously beginning to doubt whether or not I'd get in - and seeing the two UCLA posts made me want to start my Plan B rolling but then got the email. Very excited to know I'll be going to grad school next year!

Does anyone have any guess as to when the UC schools will start getting back to people, specifically UCLA, Berkeley and Santa Cruz? USCS seems to be later, and historically the two others seem to be early February but was wondering if anyone had had any communication with those programs about this year's release dates
