  1. Is anyone by chance going to be attending this years Medieval Congress in Kalamazoo?
  2. Good god, I'm not even applying this year (actually just about to start my MA) and this thread has made me a nervous wreck! Very enlightening though.
  3. So I just got an iPad for my birthday. I've already spent hours in the App Store and I started to think: are there any apps the rest of you think are essential for the religion student? I already found one I like for studying Latin. There seem to be an endless amount of Bible study apps.
  4. I've had rec writers not be totally on top of things, but I think that is one of the most selfish things I've ever heard before.
  5. I did the same thing with my studies that you did! Nice to meet another person with my same schooling experiences. I don't know much about Princeton, but New Haven is nice. Yale is located in a city setting and the campus is breath taking, reminds me of Hogwarts lol. You could probably find some decent priced living in the towns just outside the city. I don't know much about either particular program because I didn't apply to them myself, but being in CT has major advantages. You'd be really close to get to Boston and NYC for all the academic resources that are available in those places so it would be really easy to make great connections with people. Just my thoughts on the matter. Congrats on all your excellent offers!
  6. Is that a decent offer compared to your other offers?
  7. So I find it funny that if you look on results page, a good portion of the people accepted to Duke will be turning them down. That's good news for anyone on their wait list, if they have one. But maybe they should consider accepting a smaller amount of people in the future so they can give more funding since that's usually what it all comes down to.
  8. Oh wow, that's awesome!!! I'm jealous! Yeah, screw HDS!
  9. I'm sorry to hear that. Still nice to be able to say that you got in though! Is anyone else offering you money?
  10. I got an email at 4pm to check the website...sadly I didn't get into HDS, oh well. Congrats to those who got in!
  11. Great news on the funding! Supposedly Harvard will be sending out their decision this Friday.
