If you are willing to spend a little money, there is also a student discount card called Student Advantage. You purchase the card for a certain number of years (a 3year card is $40) and you can receive discounts on almost everything, like trips, clothes etc. I tried it for a year in college and it was pretty nice. Especially on greyhound trips.
Hey guys, glad to see some other music people waiting for their notices. I am focusing on Music Business. So far I have applied to NYU (like so many others, I see), Northeast U., and Berklee. I am also going to apply to CSU-Northridge, haven't sent that one in yet (deadline is May 1st). Have only heard from Northeastern (rejection). I am really happy to see not many people have heard ftom NYU yet. The wait sucks though.
Yeah I had a similar one when I was looking over my sop the other day. I said "I service-oriented" instead of "I AM service-oriented", I couldn't believe it.
Here's to hoping that neither one of our mistakes gets us rejected. *Fingers crossed*
Already heading down that Plan B route. I am studying Music Business and don't have many options when it comes to schools, so I originally applied to 4, withdrew from 1 because I couldn't afford the app fee of $150, and just got my first response- a rejection- back today. So now I am looking down the jobs road in my field. Hopefully I will have better luck there.
