It does, but the notifications are now trickling in, and I feel better knowing that those announcements are forthcoming. I just hope the folks waiting on Germany stick around after, they are the largest group. It looks like I will be here until well into April. Lol!!

I wasn't sure. I guess they run on a different time table.

Yea!!! That is great news!

From Mad Men: Roger Sterling once said that “the only thing worse than not getting what you want is someone else getting it.” This came up on my Facebook newsfeed and made me laugh. I am happy for those who got some news (and peace of mind) today.

I am in the same boat. Grad school app is due on the 15th. That is my back-up plan. Oh well.

I will be at the University of Tartu if I get it. The waiting is brutal, I won't lie. I was hoping to find out in March, but it is looking like April at the earliest. Good luck!

Are you going to be based in Riga if you go? I applied to Estonia. Looks like we will find out about the same time.

Yes, we should probably post this periodically. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmoTe-gJd4B9dFJ0aW1mYTVkYnhKcUEzR28yRTNwdlE#gid=1 If it doesn't work let me know. I applied to Estonia, just right across the way!

This is all I know about sequestration. I apologize if this is a repeat.http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/omb/assets/legislative_reports/stareport.pdf

That is so cool! I enjoy the songs from that show. I don't get to go to New York very often, but I always take in a show when I am there.

I am now singing the soundtrack to Evita. Lol!! Congrats on alternate!

I wake up at 2 am like clockwork and look at my phone. If I don't have an email from Estonia, I go back to sleep. Then I get to the end of the day and don't hear anything, so that means I am in the running for another day. And yes, someone asks me every day if I have heard anything. Most everyone knows I won't know anything until April, so that should slow down the questions....maybe. Good luck tomorrow! I am keeping my fingers crossed for Germany.

I am so excited for all those who found out today! I am sad for those who didn't make it. I feel the longer this takes the less chance I have. I don't know if I will apply again (not getting any younger, ya know). But, you are right this was a brutal process. I hope to be in Estonia in the fall, but if I am not, I will go on. As does the waiting for me!

Yea! Glad that notifications are finally hitting email boxes. Congratulations to you guys! Did the email come from IIE?

That's great! Where abouts will you be? I have family in Queensland. It's a lovely place!

Welcome to the group! Hang in there!

How exciting! I know it is nerve-racking, but hang in there. I am sending good thoughts your way!

That spreadsheet is great! Just noticed the other dates. So, looks like April notification for me. Last year's person didn't find out until May. And yes, it is nice to just chat a little, and not be so anxious.

There are some guys cutting down a tree at the house across the street. Maybe that will distract me from over thinking for a while!

Agreed! He was really vague. I think he is shocked I am still in the running. Lol! Sorry I couldn't get more info. I tried. *sigh*

I have news from the campus advisor. I asked him how our group did this year. We only had 4 recommended from our university, last year we had 8. He said one had already been notified they did not receive an award. " Last year notices were sent over the period April to June. Germany usually announces first and Turkey was June. Depends on the country."
