Someone came up to me at church and said, "Awww...you still haven't heard about your thing, have you?" Like my skin has the dull hue of someone wrought with anxiety. Weekends are not really better at this point. Lol!!

I had at least 6 people ask me about Fulbright today! So, I got to tell the story 6 different times about how my life is in limbo. I did go ahead and agree to take an elected position in my county party today. I can't continue to put my life on hold while waiting. Lol!!

Morning friends! I hope the anxiety abated for a bit and everyone had a nice Friday evening. Thankfully, I have some distractions today. My family is just going to miss me. But, they said they will be happy for me. This research could help my career in the long run. Reassure them. They will see the joy going there brings you. Good luck, with whatever you decide! Hopefully we will all have news soon.

Haha! There goes Saturday. And Sunday is just for worrying about Monday approaching. Lol!!

Hahaha!! We need to work on more steps. Like, dying a little each day as we don't find out. And, fighting not rolling your eyes every time a well meaning friend asks you if you have heard anything.

It is lame!! Well, I have one tune stuck in my head at the moment. Lol!!

*cough...sequester*
-
I went to the mailbox right after that post. No joke. Ugh. At least I have the weekend to not fret about hearing something.

I feel ya! Anxiety meet irrational thinking, oh, you have met before? Of course you have.

Just someone new. Someone who presumably shares my love of Estonia.
-
I was wondering where you were! So, while you were gone we learned about fish and potatoes. Someone new added to the spreadsheet for Estonia and Ecuador is sending word through snail mail. You are now caught up.
-
Welcome! Love your screen name!
-
You can unofficially blame the sequester, maybe. Or maybe they are enjoying fish and potatoes.
-
Yes, though most send emails. Snail mail is a possibilty. Here is the Google doc with dates, look at the bottom and click on the tab that says "past notification dates." https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmoTe-gJd4B9dFJ0aW1mYTVkYnhKcUEzR28yRTNwdlE#gid=1

That is so funny! Fish and potatoes.

Telegram, carrier pidgeon, smoke signal...I would take anything at this point.

Great news!! Congratulations!

Yes, I have! I have visited three times. About two weeks each time. I started doing mission work there in 2011. This last time I went to the University of Tartu and met some folks, made new friends, visited old friends. It was great! I got to speak to a class about campaign work. I am really hoping to get to do my research there. I was almost in Russia, we went to Narva on one of my trips. One of my friends lives in the Russian speaking part of Estonia. We were all sitting around the dinner table and he was having conversations in three languages at the same time. It was hilarious! I am hoping to take a couple of days and go to St. Petersburg.

I was thinking the same thing today about your country. Hopefully you will find out soon! Fingers crossed for ya! *that sounded creepy and stalker-ish, I was just trying to figure out who would be here until May, like me.

Ice cream does sound good! Do you guys have frozen custard where you are? I love that stuff!
-
Thanks! We have to keep our spirits up.
-
YEA!!! I am so thrilled for you!
-
My theory is: one more day my hopes are still alive and I survived another day. But really, being in limbo is awful!
-
Estonian isn't required for me. But, I am trying to pick some up. Sounds like you are quite busy. Good luck! Hopefully we will all hear soon.

I am trying to figure out if I should send in my graduate school application and take my chances. I am so confused! Deep down I was hoping to know by now. My application must be in by April 16. :'(
