  1. so is there a date when we will absolutely hear back from all graduate programs? is it May 15th?

No, graduate programs are not obligated to reply you back.

  2. better than no rejection emails and still living in obsolete reality

congrats on the concluded cal exam, the application process to grad programs sux

  4. I practice every day, I speak with my family. Of course I can't help you if your family doesn't speak German. Buena suerte!
  5. Applied: ODU, URI, UNH, UF, NJIT, MSU (UG) Admitted: NJIT Attending: will not accept a position next year until September when the positions for funding become available OR will wait until calculus 2 is finished and reapply to top 1 and 2 choice schools and try again
  6. Not at all. I'm taking calculus 1 at the moment and my POI said sometimes they can pinch it so if that's what this is about then cool. If not, I expect a rejection by early May How about you? Did you interview?
  7. Omg I hate those. I used to get all emails from UW and Scripps Oceanography. I think I kept Scripps but UW was pissing me off big time. Just unsubscribe until you get the real email. I'm still being considered by my number 1 school. I guess we're not there yet!
  8. I decided to do this since I got an interview and they are really really interested in me. My application is still in review and my GRE scores are less than 40%. They are also waiting for a grade in my class I'm in now.
  9. all I care about is passing calculus at this point

sometimes thats all it takes, hang in there!

  10. Oh god, I was wrong. Where's the article by the way? Lol, I don't like to be caught without the source! For science!
  11. There was 54 MILLION cut from funded research. Unless you are working for Bama's brain project, or going into an IT field, you gotta shape up a game plan.
  12. This will be my third internship in one full academic year and summer. one fall, two summer. I've had to turn down a mote internship before. I just declined an unpaid summer one because I got mote. The unpaid one rarely interviews people. I've become a pro at sifting out fall, spring and summer internships. If you'd like to reply here or PM me your personal research strong points, I can suggest a few to you : )
