It looks like a regular college health entry requirements. I got most of those vaccines/tests for my undergrad institution. The toxicology requirement is a little vague. They don't really specify what specific toxicology test they want done. With respects to health insurance I'll use my own private one. What are you guys planning for housing?

Hello, Hope everybody is doing well during these stressful days of graduate madness. I am looking for the collective wisdom of this community to help me decide a delicate matter. I was accepted to three schools for a masters program. Two of these schools allowed me to submit an application for financial aid and will be notifying me in the next couple of weeks for what kind of funding I am eligible. However, the third school (which actually is the first one I was accepted to) will not disclosed any potential financial aid I am eligible to, unless I accept their offer first. They gave me a deadline to accept the offer (May 2nd). So my question to the group is: do you think it is appropriate to accept this school's offer, see how much funding they offer, compare such fin aid package with what the other two school offer and then if its not affordable drop the offer?. They do not ask for a deposit or anything to accept the offer, so it's not like they can take that money from me. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Do you know of any accepted students page for class of 2016?
-
I scanned it and emailed it back to them. I was told I should get the financial aid award sometime in June.
-
FAFSA usually process applications within 48 hours and then send you a confirmation on your email. Also Sinai has an institutional financial aid app that you have to fill out and send over to their financial services office. I was told that I will get my financial aid award sometime in June. Have you accepted your offer yet?
-
I think I'll go ahead and do that. I got a nice call from a current student the other day. Do you know if there are any facebook groups for the upcoming class?
-
I got the same response from the admissions guy. However, he said and I quote "Our program is completely financeable through the following programs:Student Work Study Opportunities,Stafford Loan Program and GraduatePLUS Loan Program". I am thinking on waiting to see what the other schools I got into can give me for financial aid.

Yes, I'm kinda leaning towards Icahn now. Did you get financial aid at all? I still have to get that figured out.
-
Are you serious? I just emailed Mr. Brandon today. Can we accept the offer, see what the financial aid package is and if we can't afford it drop the offer?
-
Thank you for creating this thread. I was wondering the same thing myself. I was recently admitted as well and have not heard any word on financial aid. Have they offer you any financial aid?

My GREs were not great. I had 148 quant and 152 verbal.
-
Thank you so much!! I hope you start hearing from your schools soon as well.

I'm going for Epidemiology. You?

I am delighted to announced that I have been officially accepted to the Graduate Program in Public Health @ Icahn School of Medicine. Two acceptances in the same week?. Couldn't be any happier right now!

I am happy to announce of my acceptance to the MPH program at University of Miami. It's good to be given a chance to study about the feel you love. So pumped about this...
-
quick question...I applied to University of Miami MSPH program like almost two months ago. They really were supposed to get back to me with a decision like 3 weeks after submission of my application tops. I contacted the admission guy two weeks ago and he said that I would be getting a decision "any day now". It's been two weeks from that communication and still haven't heard back from them. Should I send a friendly reminder to hurry up?
-
Does anybody know if Icahn email applicants regarding receiving their application? I submitted my application last week, but I am still to get any sort of communication from them regarding my application. Is that normal?
-
MPH in Epidemiology. But if I get in I will add do a double concentration in Epi and Communicable Diseases.
-
There is a supplemental application fee ($30) and you have to pay it after they sent your USF ID. Payment is done through something called OASIS and that's the website that I was having trouble with. And yes I think SOPHAS has the right deadline.
-
The admission contact for USF is the least helpful person ever. My application was on hold for like a week, because their system did not recognize my USF ID and didn't let me pay my application fee. She did not offer any help trying to figure out whatever the problem was and I had to reach out to their IT department myself. Anyways, I hope that's not a sign that I wasted my application fee on them.

Thank you. Too bad I didn't see this before I submitted my application..but the gesture is appreciated. We'll see if they let me join you at Icahn.
-
Thank you Olamiss. Hopefully we both get in to USF. Aww thank you...I actually have my SOP ready to submit to Icahn. I was just nervous hit the submit button haha Thank you both of you. This waiting for the uncertain and mourning for the certain feels a little better with the support from this group.
-
Thank you Olamiss. So far, I have gotten 4 rejections in a row (UPitt, UMass Amherst, BU and UMinnesota). I am still waiting to hear from USF and UMiami. I'm looking into applying to Indiana University - Purdue University, Icahn @Mount Sinai and Washington University in St. Louis. Otherwise, I will enroll in summer school and take graduate classes and get ready for next application season. I will update everybody if I get in anywhere. Best of luck to you!!

Just got my second rejection in a row...I feel so discouraged. Still waiting to hear from 3 schools. At this point I'd be happy getting into one
