Sad days indeed! Their program is pretty great. Silly question - what's a DGS?

Ohh I'm so anxious to hear from them! Someone told me last year they offered admission to a LOT of people as well... not sure how many, or how many actually enrolled. But hopefully that won't have any effect on this year's cycle! I'm pretty sure Northwestern cancelled applications this time around because they had too many incoming students last year... they said they're "restructuring the program".

I didn't apply to Cornell - but did all 15 enroll? I think a lot of programs admit around 10-15 people expecting only a few to actually go... But yeah, I have similar concerns about Chicago! Did anyone else hear from Stanford?

I agree, but I can't help it either. I feel like this is all I think/talk about and it's driving me mad. I need to get a life.

Hi! I also wouldn't worry too much about the deadline... from what I hear it takes some departments weeks to even look at the materials, and I doubt that they start rejecting stuff that comes after the deadline.
