Most resident tuition and fees can actually be covered by RA/TA (if above 25 percent i guess), which is standard UCSD policy. Don't worry too much about it pal. But sure, we still need to contact the department for clarification on our offer.

it is the joint PhD program (PolSci Department and IR/PS). If you want to get into the joint program, you must first be admitted by the PolSci Department.

Of course, Rochester is much more positive. I have two friends admitted to Rochester but they are not likely to accept it for better fit in other programs. In this case, I would say the odds is on our side.

confirmed. Waiting-listed by Rochester also. Would waiting-listed by NYU and Rochester make me the annual king of waiting-list? LOL

It is still very early. Many people, like me, get no offer so far but we are going to fighting through this together.

BTW this is the first time NYU have a waiting list right? and based on my inside source, NYU gave 25 offers this year so far. I suppose it is a budget constraint? Anyway it is good to know we still have a chance.
