Hi everyone--congrats to all! Interviewed on 3-21. Went just the way bball33 said. Just waiting to hear back! Applied for both on-campus cohorts and the off-campus one. Here're my stats: BA Human Dev with a concentration in ECD GPA: 4.0 work experience: large family daycare provider 20 + years bilingual (Spanish) language assessment and development facilitator/community liaison for a local school district for 6 years volunteer English/writing tutor in my college's program for students with disabilities 3 yrs volunteer hospice worker 2 yrs I'm a career changer, a mother of 5, grandmother of 4 Went back to college with all of you brilliant young people and it was the best experience of my life! My very best wishes to all of you and I hope to read lots of good news here!!!

Hi Everyone--applied to CSUN for 3 of their 4 cohorts. Applied last year, but didn't make it. Only applied to one school because location/distance is an issue for me. The app deadline was 1-10, I think. I turned walked my app in on the 6th. It's no longer first-come first-serve basis, and all info can now be uploaded online. I walked mine in because being a prior applicant, I was allowed to use my letters of rec from the previous app year. Stats: BA in Human Development/ECD concentration 4.0 gpa in final 60 3.8 cumulative Some volunteer experience in a hospice care fac 30 + years work experience as a Large Family D/C provider Career changer with 5 grown children, 3 grandchildren fluent in Spanish BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF YOU! I'll post my progress here in hopes that It'll benefit someone!

Hello all---I turned my app pkg in on Jan 11th or thereabouts. I received an email from the admissions committee today (3-30) alerting me that my app hadn't been completely processed by the committee yet and that I should be sure to check my csun email diligently for any notices and information. I'm reading here that at least one student had received a letter of acceptance as of March 10th. Not sure what the email I received means but my hope is that all app's are being considered equally as long as they were received by the deadline. Thanks to all who have posted here and a special thanks to SBjj0701--sooooo helpful! I'll post whatever info I receive in hopes that it is a help to someone. Best of luck to all!!!

what did you undergrad in?

Hi everyone--I'm new to this forum and am hoping to get some insight. After a 35-year hiatus, I returned to college to finish what I started all those years ago. Much has changed since then, and I actually had to go back and re-take many of the core transfer requirements. I'm happy to say that I'm done with those now; however, now it is time to decided which undergrad major to pursue. My goal is pursuit of the MSW, but I'm in a quandary as to which undergrad degree will prepare me best, or if it even matters. I work p/t and have a young daughter with diabetes, so the CSU online degree in Human Development is very attractive. At the same time, CSUN offers an undergrad in Sociology with a Social Welfare emphasis that looks soooo interesting. Any advice would be helpful and much appreciated. Thanx in advance, and my very best to all of you--you inspire me.
