Some programs will offer a master's even if they don't have a master's program, but not all of them will.

Hey, for anyone who got an invitation to Princeton MolBio for the weekend of February 14th, have you gotten any travel instructions?

Well if Stanford (genetics) doesn't come today, then I'll be waiting by the computer on Monday for Stanford then on Tuesday for Rockefeller. That will be an incredibly stressful week.

It would be like if you were going to prom and you bought yourself a suit/dress and reserved an expensive limo and then your date calls you at the last minute and tells you they are going with someone else. It would look REALLY bad, and UNC would almost certainly be pretty annoyed at you, so I wouldn't do it unless BCM >>> UNC for you.

No one has gotten any news on Stanford then?

I have a very small sample size but: Best: UCSD or UC-Berkeley (emailed them about my missing GRE scores and it was fixed within the hour) Worst: Wisconsin (Emailed three different people about the same missing GRE scores, didn't hear back for a week, had to call them and they didn't have them at all, they were the only school that didn't have them, so I'm thinking it was an error on there part)

If you've had multiple research projects, are they going to ask you about all of them?

I've seen a fair amount of schools that ask you to schedule your own flight. But they of course pay you back

I read on collegeconfidential that Rockefeller doesn't interview applicants; they just accept them based on their written application. Does anyone know if that's true?

All my interviews except one have been Thurs-Sat and missing one or two classes won't be a problem. My professors would understand.

I don't have classes on Friday and my Thursday classes end really early, so I'm not worries about that.

Haha I accidentally called Johns Hopkins "John Hopkins" in my essay. I knew that it's Johns and not John, but I just messed up. I'm afraid that that's the reason why I haven't gotten an invite yet. But I'm sure that happens to them all the time
