  1. O villain, villain, smiling, damned villain! Thy name is GRE. Boo on fill in answers... that does not make life any easier at this point.
  2. I have been studying for the GRE from various sources to get a variety in approaches and just found in the Kaplan GRE Premier Program 2009 Edition that there are "numeric entry" questions on the GRE as well? I hadn't seen anything about it so far, is this true? If so, how much of it is multiple choice and how much is fill in?
  3. I'm in the same boat you are, I've never liked math, don't remember much of it, and certainly never dreampt of doing any of it without a calculator. I enrolled in the Princeton Review online class, bought the Kaplan math book as well... and when I found out that I needed to look at even more basic math concepts (like remembering how to multiply fractions) I went to Target and grabbed the program "Math Advantage". I am scheduled to take the test Sept 1st so I don't know what is the most helpful... and while the Math Advantage Program doesn't mention anything about specific strategies for the GRE it did explain the basic math concepts in a way that I could understand them again. I wish you luck in finding the best possible method of study for you... and break a leg on the GRE!
  4. I experienced the same thing when I moved for undergrad, and the school was not in a college town so there weren't too many other bored kids about to start school around. I suggest if you want to get out and find social local activites in your community that you try meetup.com. It is great for finding people that are intersted in the same things you are, and the activities range from free, to concerts and the like, to vacations. There are a lot of "Urban Adventure" groups that already know the town and will give you a group of people to explore around with. Also, yeah.. reading.. but won't you be doing enough of that soon? ;-)
  5. So.. did you guys get in? Just curious :-)
