  1. On the results search page? I thought everybody else was refreshing that page as obsessively as I was? http://thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=stanford&t=n&o=&pp=25 (Clearly I'm still here, milling about. )
  2. (WE HAVE ONE POLS ACCEPTANCE! CONGRATS!)
  3. Well, it's almost EOD here on a Friday in central standard time....guess I'm logging off and it won't be today for me. Which is wierd as some have already been notified (according to the results page).... Bleaaaaaaaaaah. Best of luck to all!
  4. Hmm...haven't heard anything back still... anyone else discouraged by the dearth of green "accepted" stickies on the results page under Stanford?
  5. Maybe one of us should volunteer as tribute and call/email admissions office ?
  6. I submitted mine on 1/4 (appx) and heard back only 2 days ago! So it should be maybe in the next week or so is what I'd reckon.
  7. That's awesome. To be honest, from what I imagine to be a Stanford point of view, coming from a tiny country = huge points for diversity...not that you wouldn't already be uniquely qualified.
  8. Well, I did get the Penn notification at 12:30 am CT...do we expect this one to be different? It seems like people from previous years received calls. In the meantime, who wants to share life stories! I feel like those who apply for international ed programs always have interesting (international) experience. I grew up in 3 different countries and experienced these 3 different educational systems. This, and experiences volunteering outside of my cities of residence, ignited in me a passion for considering education comparatively. However, I have no "formal" experience teaching abroad (there goes my Stanford acceptance...)
  9. Haha, I'm refreshing this forum every 2 minutes. I figure I'd probably hear from you guys here first, even before I hear from them... While we wait, who's up for killing time by comparing stats? HAHAHAH jk.
  10. ONE MORE ICE! *waves hands frantically* May the odds be ever in [our] favor!
  11. I believe this is a rolling admissions process, so it depends on when you submitted your application
  12. Well then, what are we waiting for? Let the freak-out commence! (am I going to get demerits, or whatever is the appropriate forum-term, for flamboyant formatting and explicit encouragement of anxiety?! )
  13. Isn't 24 hours from now just 24 hours from now, no matter where in the world you are..................? Also, are you guys saying in the next 24 hours bc the non-step MA students found out last week this time? Hmm that makes sense, but according to the Stanford website, the lag time between the two decisions is about 2 weeks?
  14. And where did you get that opinion from!?
  15. Thanks for sharing, NoChance ( -- looks like you should be changing your username!). I just got admitted with some scholarship, which I'm really grateful for! Mine is a 1 year program, though!
  16. Hmm, there's an entry on the results search page for masters result?
  17. What is the range of funding/scholarship we should benchmark to? Ie. what's considered a generous amount of funding/scholarship, and what isn't, in relation to Penn's MsEd programs / Ed programs in general?
  18. That is concerning. What were her views, and what are Stanford GSE's views, that are so misaligned?
  19. By "Solidarity!" I think you mean "Synergy!-of-fear-and-anticipation-and-anxiety-all-feeding-off-each-other!" But I suppose. I suppose it helps.
  20. Probably because freaking out together doesn't make things any better . i think the doctoral students heard back from Stanford and they seem to mostly be rejections... Also, NoChance, when did you submit Penn's application and when did you hear back? Congrats on that!
  21. Congrats, all! Care to update the results page ?
  22. Haha, yes please update the results search! Congrats all! Exciting.
  23. There there. Let's not despair. There is hope.
