I wish Wish they would reject before giving interviews. But this board is encouraging. Good to see some people eventually getting interviews and acceptances.

Got a catalog from saic in the mail today. Tricky mail! Not exactly what I was waiting for.....

Go karfalal and eday and everyone else! One interview means I am not crazy and maybe I have a chance elsewhere. I guess it's just a lot is riding on this for various reasons liked fanily things, career/job things, and of course knowing deeply there's this talent I have and love and enjoy and I would love the opportunity to return to it wholeheartedly and an mfa can afford me something of a break from 'career' and crap.

So painters without an saic call, are we crossing it off our lists?

So, I continue to wonder, if you have no correspondence today for (saic) painting interview does that mean you are def. rejected?

Anyone know how many painting interviews saic give? Or whether rejections are posted anywhere?

Iomarch, if that works out for you do tell! I can't imagine asking would hurt you. Worst case you'll be ignored and depending on your toughness you could probably take it. (I used to be tough then I got rejected from Yale. Ha. Kidding!)

On the flip side I've had fabulous easy breasy interviews and didn't get the job. You just never really know. Good luck!

I applied to painting (if interdisciplinary wasnt offered) because painting seems open enough these days to get 3dimensional. also because I had more paintings to apply with than sculpture.

Ashamed to say, but was going to not apply to Yale since acceptance rate is so low it feels almost like the statistical equivalent of a Pick 5, and since rejection is tough for me why put myself in this position but I just threw up my hands and said what the heck and applied thinking that's precisely a reason not to feel bad about getting a rejection. Now that they're about to notify I'm all- ack! I hope they like me, I really hope they like me. Lame! I wish all schools would let you know at once! So much is hanging in the balance ......

The Hunter application is way comprehensive! And then they request only 10 slides. *sigh*
