  1. AHH!! Congrats! I got waitlisted, please let them know your decision as soon as you can so it will open up spots for the waitlists!! The wait is brutal lol... Thank you <3
  2. I received an email yesterday. I was placed on the alternate list. I'm not sure if that's the same thing as a wait list. Hell, better than a rejection. Trying to remain positive during this brutal waiting game.
  3. same! it was very strange compared to other interviews. I don't know how they would really get to know us by that type of an interview, besides communication skills. do you know how (email/mail/phone) and when do we hear back!?
  4. Any advice for Loma Linda Interviews??? They are coming up this friday! There is a writing portion as well included.
  5. That's not always necessary! I am currently in my clinical practicum (not always offered in undergrad programs), and I am committed to my patients/clients in the field of speech pathology. Just because I can't fly out, doesn't mean I am not committed to the program. If you have classes to attend as well, it doesn't look bad. It shows you are committed to your coursework, which is what a faculty member actually told me. Good luck to all of us on the journey through the waiting process!!
  6. also i wasnt asking about skipping, i was asking about HOW MANY they interview...just to see our chances. Ya know ?
  7. does anyone know how many applicants they interview!? i got one here and i am curious to see how much of a decision they will be making with these interviews.
  8. Can you give us an example of how you made your personality shine through your email communications?
  9. I am considering public health as a back up plan as well! Of course, speech pathology is where my heart is, but continuing my education is also what I really would like to do, and I want something to fall back on. I’d love to hear opinions about my plan B as well. Could I possibly incorporate topics that involve speech pathology/early intervention in the public health field? I am new to it, I’ve researched it, and it seems extremely diverse, but vague! What's the job outlook or positions with a masters in public health? I heard people in the public health field make well over 100k a year.
  10. have you applied to grad school before, or will you be this fall? Nice to always have a fellow native speaker
  11. Do you know which Cali grad schools will be most likely to accept non-California residents? Thanks!
