  1. Any insights from people who attended the open house? Excited to know:)
  2. @straybirds have you joined the general accepted students group?
  3. Hey @straybirds Congratulations on the acceptance! I haven't been accepted to any other school yet, so I don't really have options. Having said that, I am soo excited about Emerson!!!!!!! Unlike you I am actually interested to work with the adult population more than the kids. Any idea if a Facebook group is made for the accepted CD students? It would be great to get in touch with others, especially since I am an international student.
  4. Hello everyone, I got accepted at Emerson on 03/09. I would love to hear as why to other accepted students would choose to be at Emerson? I am interested with working with speech disorders in children, acquired language disorders across the age span and voice disorders. I am also interested in dysphagia. I am trying to understand if the program will be a good fit for me or not. P.S - It would be a good way to get in touch with probable future classmates
  5. I spoke to Kathy Wasson and she confirmed my application is complete and due to the large number of applications, the portals have not been updated timely. Phew! She also told me about the meeting alyc just said about. So hopefully those of us waiting to hear will hear soon from them Good luck!
  6. I applied to USF and my application portal says items still "missing" and I had emailed the graduate office on 02/09 as well as on 02/21, tried calling them but never got through and as an international applicant it gets really expensive to call again and again. I am freaked out, I see so many people hearing back from them when my file is not even complete. Any suggestions as to what I should do?
  7. Hey, Congratulations!!! Where on your portal did you see it? Also, when did you submit your application? I submitted mine close to the deadline so maybe thats why I won't hear soon from them. Thanks
  8. Thanks both of you'll, I am slightly relieved now. Hope we hear soon from them! Good luck
  9. I am so glad this was brought up. The same thing happened to me as well, it freaked me out as I saw others getting accepted while my application was still incomplete. I have emailed them and will call them in case I don't hear back. Just curious, when did you'll finish your application? Have you'll been accepted in spite the incomplete status on the portal? Thanks!
  10. @rzilby and @alicecdstudent I still haven't heard from Syracuse, I hope its not a reject! All the best for your interviews !!!!
  11. I applied to Syracuse as well. I didn't get any such email. Was this in response to an enquiry email that you'll sent? I'm trying not to freak out
  12. To those who applied to University of South Carolina any idea when we will be haring back from them? Their deadline was 01/01. I haven't received any email from them after I submitted my application. Do they also have a portal where we need to log in or something ? Any information will be helpful! Thanks!
  13. So a friend of mine interviewed last year and is in fact a student at Emerson. They asked her 3 questions (like mentioned earlier on this thread). They were (not verbatim, but the idea was the same) - 1) What are your future goals ? 2) Discuss one of the challenging cases you have seen, and why was it challenging 3) What are your weakness? And in the end they gave her time to ask any further questions she had about the program - she asked about admission decisions and funding options, She suggested we should read about the faculty profiles once we know who is taking our interview. Read about the centre. And be professional and genuine. Hope this helps!
