I was contacted by a researcher at Harvard who read my application and wanted me to work in his lab. It's how I got notified of my admission in January for SM2 - and definitely takes the pressure off of finding someone whose research interests match mine!

I have it down to three - but even that's pretty tricky. Accepted to Columbia (MPH - Epi conc ID), Yale (MPH EMD), and Harvard (via phone MS in ID Epi). Leaning towards Harvard because of the resources in Boston, the strong methods training within the program, and its high regard on the PH circuit. NY costs are scaring me - and I don't think I can justify them when I can go to HSPH for cheaper.

Typically the emails come from webadmit.org - it's an organization that sends out acceptance/rejection/waitlist emails for schools and all the email addresses are "donotreply@webadmit.org". Afterwards I've been getting some personal emails from admissions officers/heads of departments/faculty/potential advisors/students and those necessitate some response (and a thank you!).

Well that wasn't very helpful, nor very accurate. I shall rephrase: "When do financial aid offices start sending out information about scholarships or loan offers?"

ADMITTED TO YALE!!!! For Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases!!!!! Such a relief after that BU waitlist letter...

It's the holidays! One thing many people fail to realize is that these admissions officers are individuals just like us with tons of work to do. The silence seems realistic - seeing as many universities are just now opening for Spring term and with all the crazy weather the country has been getting! I'm sure we'll be hearing more soon.

Accepted to GWU for MPH Epidemiology!

Does anyone know if there is a protocol for sending in transcripts with fall grades on them? Should we do this through SOPHAS or send them directly to the schools?

8 weeks to the day since I was confirmed complete at GWU - hopefully a decision soon since they said 6-8 weeks!

Has anyone heard when LSHTM is going to open their application?

Just got a confirmation from Harvard that they have processed my application and it's now under review! Decisions at the end of February/beginning of March.

From what I can tell the acceptances that have been going out recently are for S14, not F14.
