So it seems the 2 year people are getting the "page not found" error, which would make sense because a decision wouldn't be made on them yet. But I am applying for the 1 year so why am I not getting an answer when every other 1 year is???

Well I guess I am rejected. Mine does not go to page saying rejected or accepted. When I click the online form link it says "page not found". And there are not other things I can click except the program name which just leads me to my references. So I can only assume that I am rejected or mine would work like everyone elses. Is there anyone else who is applying for advanced standing who it isn't working for. I am so depressed right now.

Socialworkerr - Sorry, it still goes to the right link for me. Anyways I agree, there is nothing we can do about it tonight. Time to take a big glass of wine/sleeping pill/insert substance here and try and get some sleep.

ImpatientlyWaiting - It says Invited for Fall 2015 but it has said that since last September. When I was accepted initially it said Invited to Fall 2014 and then when I deferred they changed it. For me, when I was accepted last year, I checked ROSI on March 3 and it said Invited but I didn't get the letter until March 6. I don't know if it said Invited sooner than that because I didn't check before that point.

I am just really hoping that kourterr confused the information to mean that is an acceptance instead of just what you applied for. And I am REALLY hoping that Laurier notifies us tomorrow because I am getting really tired of waiting/driving myself and my family nuts!

For some reason it will not let copy and paste anything on here! Trying to hold onto a shred of hope here.

Now I am worried again. I just looked on Laurier's website and it says you can use the Laurier application page to check for admission decisions. So maybe kourterr was seeing that they were accepted because apparently you are supposed to be able to check on there. Obviously those who were rejected it just wouldn't update and they would send the rejection letter. That is what happened to people last year with UofT. The people who got in, it changed, and the people who didn't, it just stayed the same. This is not good

OMG yes! If we don't hear by the end of tomorrow we have to be in agony all weekend. This is such torture!

I am wondering that too. This is what mine says on the bottom of the first page it takes you to under the name and address stuff: Program: Master of Social Work - Advanced Standing Registration Status: Full-time Term of Entry: Sep 2015 But I am fairly positive that is just saying what I have applied to. Does your say that on the front page too? I think this might be a heart attack over nothing! Thank God you're a night owl too lol

I wish kourterr was still posting on here. I want to know what shows up on their page when they log in. Because mine says nothing.

I went back through everything and figured out how to sign in. Mine just goes to my references. So if kourterr's says accepted I guess that means that I am rejected. I feel like I am going to throw up right now. I don't know what the hell else I can do for this school. I have years of experience, I have a 3.9 GPA, clearly I am never going to be good enough for them.

Anyone still around? Am I supposed to be able to find an account somewhere??

kourterr - I don't have a LORIS account??? I checked back through all my emails and I was never given any kind of account or student number!

espressom - Wow! Congrats again! You are getting in everywhere! Do you mind if I ask what your background experience is?

kourterr - Yes, I am basing it on what happened last year. I know it can be different though. Last year I was applying as well and I was waitlisted. Acceptances went out on February 21, most people who were rejected got a letter on the 24th and I got a waitlist email on the 26th. There is no guarantee that they will be going out this week, I just have myself convinced that if I don't hear by the end of the week it's bad news. Last year I emailed and they responded to me that the acceptances would be going out at the end of the week (that was on February 18 last year). This year I am too scared to email and I don't want them to think I am a crazy person....although I am starting to think I just might be

I can't believe we still haven't heard from Laurier! This is driving me crazy! Every time my phone dings I jump and it's just some useless sale ad or something. The more time that goes by, the more I am convincing myself that I will be getting a rejection later.

jenste - I know, I am thankful I am accepted to UofT. It is a complicated situation. Laurier is local and UofT is a 2 hour commute. I have a serious autoimmune disease, I am still capable of being a social worker even with a disability. But the commute part of going to UofT will be really hard on me physically. I will do it if I have to but I am really hoping for Laurier!

I am really, really hoping to hear from Laurier tomorrow. I just feel like if I am accepted I should hear by tomorrow or Friday. That's how it went last year. If I don't hear by the end of Friday I am afraid that will mean that I'll be expecting a rejection letter early next week. I know everyone has their story but it is just really, really important to me that I get into Laurier. After the year I've had I am hoping that I can get something good for once!

selis - Everyone has to have their application in by December 15 and they don't start processing them until after that point so that doesn't affect when people hear if they are accepted or not. If they are sending the letters out I am sure you will hear soon. Last year when I was waiting for a response from UofT I didn't get a letter until 2 days after people on here had and a couple of my friends didn't get letters until a week after the initial acceptances, but they were all dated the same day! Canada Post sucks. Just hang in there and hopefully you will hear soon.

expressom - Congrats! I know how exciting it is to get that letter. Do you know whether you are leaning towards Calgary or UofT? editing bc I just realized you are still waiting to hear from some schools. It looks like you'll have a number of wonderful options!

Has anyone heard from Laurier about the Advanced Standing MSW? I am freaking out and really, really hoping I am in but no word yet!

Until we hear confirmation from a number of people I am still a bit skeptical that UofT is sending out the acceptances this early. It is possible, it could be related to the potential strike. Hopefully everyone will hear something soon.
