  1. Weird, mine is still not ready....
  2. Is anyone still waiting to hear from UMASS? My app status still says "applied" and under review, but I read somewhere that notifications have been sent out. Just checkin' in with everyone!
  3. Oh my gosh, yay! Another waitlist will only help!
  4. It's my second year, too. But last year I had zero prerequisites and less experience than I do now. I applied to postbaccs and programs that would allow me to matriculate without having completed the prerequisites. This year, I purposely applied to a ton more programs this year, hoping it would pan out, but my prospects are looking bleak. Every day is different though--some days I'm positive and others I'm just completely torn up. Glad you all feel it too. Thinking good thoughts for you!
  5. I don't know how much longer I can deal with this rejection. I have 3 Waitlists and 8 rejections (including one from my own PostBacc school) and am waiting to hear from a few more. It's become unbearable and I'm starting to think that maybe this just isn't worth it anymore. It's absolutely excruciating. Hope y'all are hanging in there. I'm trying!
  6. Unrelated, but congrats on getting into CSULB!
  7. Gotcha! That's so strange. Maybe you're right about the waves. I just wish there was some consistency here! Thanks for the insight and best of luck to you, though it sounds like you've gotten some amazing offers so far!
  8. Out of curiosity, where are you getting this CSULB info from? I'm fairly certain it was just for the cohort, as none of my fellow postbacc students have heard a word about an interview (and you'd think that out of 40 of us, at least one of us would have heard back? haha). I think I'm just anxious to hear back!
  9. I'm at CSULB now taking pre-requisite courses and I'm pretty certain the interviews/rejections that have happened were for the special cohort only. Still waiting for any updates regarding the Traditional M.A. program.
  10. I'm trying SO hard to stay positive and spread that positive energy to my peers. It's just been so difficult to maintain when all I receive is Rejection or Waitlist notifications. Holding out for a miracle. I still have several to hear from so I'm keeping my head up, but I'm also glad to see that others are in the same boat. Stay strong everyone!
  11. Same! A little bummed, but kind of expected it. But I know we'll all get in somewhere.
  12. Are you a U.S. citizen? You may still be able to find an online class via one of those comm. colleges. If not, then definitely try a "self-paced" class
  13. Doesn't have to be UCLA extension, but something like it may work for you! You'll have to wait either til Spring Quarter listings or Summer Quarter listings to be updated, though.
  14. Hi! I'd highly recommend either your local community college or university Extension! Although I took my science pre-reqs in person via UCLA extension, I know they offer certain online classes with no lab component. UCLA Extension typically goes for 10 weeks during a regular session and 6 weeks for Summer, but I'd check the course dates and listings first! Let me know if you have any other q's!
  15. Thanks so much! Crossing my fingers and toes!
  16. Not a peep. This week should be our week!
  17. I know this is unrelated, but you've already heard from Northern Arizona University? Via Email???
  18. Did they give you an explanation? As far as I know, no one from CSULB has been informed of an acceptance/rejection before the interview process.
  19. Aaaaah me, too! Nervous!!
  20. Thanks for the update! This is good news, as it means I won't have to spend money on airfare from California
  21. Congrats!!!! UT Austin or Dallas? That's so awesome!
  22. On their website it said something along the lines of: "Review of applications commences as they are completed and is concluded in February. Based on this review, a group of top applicants are invited to the ASU campus for a required interview with speech/language clinical and academic faculty. Specific dates and times for the interview will be sent to invited students in early February. Interviews are typically held on the last Friday in February and the first Friday in March. For applicants with recognized disabilities who are unable to visit on campus, an alternative interview format may be arranged."
  23. Once you've passed all sections of the CBEST, you don't have to take it again. It's a basic skills requirement but most schools (SJSU) don't need to see a min score, just a PASS.
  24. Anyone here apply to Arizona State University? Their website says that applicants will be contacted in "early February" for an interview which will take place at the end of the month. Has anyone heard back yet?
