Not alone waiting out! I am waiting on so many programs - my anxiety is through the roof! I think it is safe to say I am a second round/waitlist applicant at this point. I have mediocre grades, not stellar but i do have impressive research experience. As long as I get one program I will be happy, don't care what round interview I am in at this point.
Regarding drinking over interview weekends - people told me not to if it is offered...is that actually a thing to do or does it not matter? I mean I wouldn't get sloshed and start doing shots, just a casual drink.
It was difficult to find a number to call, I was worried about calling a professor directly - this was from the site for the Molecular Microbiology Program - the first number under the program director ended up being the I guess assistant or office administrator. See if your program has something like that! I applied for Micro & the MERGE-ID
Also - anyone know what is going on with UPENN CAMB?
spoke to tufts today (molecular microbiology) and had a very nice phone call - said first round interviews are soon (congratulations to whom ever is going on that interview!) and after this they will decide and send more interviews
Well we did not get rejected from the first round so that should make you feel a bit better. I am assuming that there are more rounds, that's what was implied in the email
no matter the outcome of my applications, i will be celebrating the fact that i have have completed my undergrad degree with 170 credits and have worked simultaneously in two labs. finally having a much needed vacation
worst weill cornell - emailed PI after open house - no response. emailed and called about status of application - no response, and only found out i was rejected through gradcafe!
Micro - checking my email every second. Hey DirtyLabCoat - did you get a rejection email from Weill Cornell or did you contact them? I also applied there and haven't heard a thing yet from them.
