Any suggestions on safe, nice, but affordable places to live in Houston that are super close to Baylor College of Medicine? I know public transportation isn't always the best there, and I will have a car, but might be wise for the first year to live close enough to walk or take the bus to campus. Suggestions?

Accepted to Baylor Imunology this morning. Top choice, will officially be attending. The process is finally over!!!!!

UNC called back. They are going to email statuses to every applicant by the end of this week. At this point, he said it's pretty likely that it's either a rejection or a wait list. There are a handful of offers that will still be sent out by the end of this week, but not many at all.

I hope you do too, I am also waiting for UNC. A professor there told me that they have a ranking system, and they move down their list until everyone they can take has accepted their offers. It looks like we are lower down on their list, but because we are not rejected yet it just comes down to whether enough people decline to move to our numbered spots. The professor said you can call Jeff at the school and ask what your ranking may be and if they will be able to get to your spot on the list this year, but of course it would just be a guess on his part. He is hard to get a hold of. I left a message but will call back later today again.

Still waiting on my 3 top schools. One top-waitlist, the other two "application is still in consideration" as the directors of the program are saying when I emailed. I am wondering how likely it is to actually be admitted this late.

I applied and was accepted to the Department of Immunology. I was invited to the recruitment weekend a long while back but it was cancelled due to weather so most of us had to skype interview.

I was accepted to UCONN as well and unfortunately my visit interview date was cancelled due to the snow, so I had to do a skype interview. Did UCONN fund your recent visit?

It seems to be dead here lately. Has everyone pretty much decided where they are going? I am still waiting to hear back from 3 of my schools post interview and feel that I am nowhere near making a decision...

I emailed UMASS because I'm still waiting to hear back, and interviewed a few months ago. He said my application is still under consideration but the school has restrictions on how many offers they can send out at once so they need to wait for other offers to come back (meaning decline I bet). It makes sense since they are rolling admission. I'm not sure if this even means I'll get an offer if others start to decline but let me know if you got into UMASS Medical but aren't going!

Has anyone gotten into Baylor Immunology Graduate Program (Department of Pathology and Immunology) and is still deciding between Baylor and other places? If so, where are you leaning?

I interviewed not last weekend but the weekend before. So I'm clearly just being impatient if it's taken everyone longer to hear. But I'm getting restless.

Someone just posted an acceptance via phone for UNC - bbsp just now on the board. Anyone on here just hear back?

My assumption (because I am in the same boat as you for most of my post-interview schools) is that it means we are not the top candidates and are placed on some internal "holding/waiting list" that is not shared with the applicants. This could end up being good because they didn't reject you right after your interview like they do for most of the candidates they have an absolute no for. Or it could just mean they are waiting until the last minute to send the rejections out in case they will need to send any more acceptances if people decline.

Does anyone know if UMASS has sent out most of their acceptances already? I see a bunch of them on here but I never heard anything back post interview (mid February). Should I assume I'm probably rejected or on a waitlist?

Where else are you deciding between? Yes please let me know if you decide to go somewhere else. This is my absolute top choice. edit: I see where you got accepted. Just wanted to know where else you are seriously considering, if anywhere.

I just responded to the email from the director of the program explaining why it was my first choice. I am hoping they take it into consideration when letting people off the waitlist. I wish they said what number on the waitlist.
