Congratulations! This is amazing news! The weather in Palo Alto is in any case better than Boston... I haven't heard anything from Harvard so I guess I struck out this year. As was expected. Sigh.

Why do we think it's tomorrow by the way? I've literally become useless due to this anticipation.

"Am I getting too anxious as a result of one program's decision?" Yes. At the master's level , sometimes the more prestigious Ivy League schools would be easier to get into, simply because they have more spots than a state school, which might have 1-2 slots. At least this is my impression.

So I guess it's not gonna be today. Time to wait another day. Sigh.

I keep telling myself not to get my hopes up, so that they don't come crashing down. After all, I've made peace with my very good back up plan. But alas, I can't help but get my hopes up. Harvard would be a dream come true. The next few days are going to be difficult... Sigh.

This sounds about right to me. I wish my POI would email, "Yo Averroes, you have (not) been accepted." I think he should have live tweeted me it in the meeting actually.

I went to HDS, so I may be biased--OK, I certainly am--but, I can't more strongly recommend HDS to you. It will open many doors for you. Funding is usually at least 50%, if not more. Given the choice between 50% at HDS and 75% at BU, I'd pick HDS in a heartbeat. Also, I didn't feel like a small fish in a big pond at Harvard. Rather, one is a pampered big fish... Really, it opens up a lot of doors.
