  1. University Club at College Park is a good option, and its1 Bdr option seems to work with your budget. I asked a friend of mine to go for a tour visit on my behalf and he was pretty impressed with the amenities and building. The photos he sent me looked pretty much the same that those of their website. Good luck!
  2. Last rejection from SAIS JHU... and that's the end of the cycle for me!
  3. I'm still waiting for BU and SAIS JHU but I'll probably just accept my (only) admission to UMD (I'm sorry I can't give you better news, but I hope someone else declines so you can come too!)
  4. I'm starting my grad program next fall and I swear I read your post, then sent it in an email to myself with the subject "Mail you should read from time to time". So, THANK YOU.
  5. I do think that way too, and I'm really not that concerned about results themselves 'cause my cycle is pretty much over and I'm happy with it. But I keep reading these messages and I just couldn't take it any more. Many are worried and anxious about their particular situation, and other ones just don't care at all, and it's a horrible thing. Maybe, I have not been diplomatic with my message, but I don't think a little empathy is too much to ask.
  6. I posted it there 'cause I'm not sure every single person is actually following this thread at the same time. However, you've already posted it for me now and I've stated that I was the one who wrote it so, there you have my complain about egotistic attitudes at the results survey.
  7. I wrote it, and I promise it was not spamming and jelly as I've already confirmed my spot at one particular program. It has nothing to do with anything else but the fact that those messages are extemely disrespectful to any of the other users at GC that are waiting on their notifications, or even those who didn't get in at all. I meant everything I wrote and I would write it again. People should care a little bit more about the other ones in the same situation and not just let their egos write.
  8. I wasn't contacted by BU either! One of the others told me a couple days ago that admissions and rejections had already been released, and that those of us who weren't already contacted are waitlisted. Who knows.
  9. Hey guys, can any of you confirm what has been posted on the survey about Boston University? Thanks!
  10. haha I see. I received my notification some weeks ago for IR subfield, but I'm not sure if the fact that I'm int'l student and the whole visa process needed makes it faster for us to be notified. fingers crossed for you!
  11. In case any of you is also waiting for news from Boston University, they've just told me they are a lil' behind schedule and they'll probably send decisions within the next two weeks.
  12. Just a random video I thought I might share with you http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/1uHL0e/www.youtube.com/watch?v=T24DPU-hkJM%2F
  13. Well, after so long dreaming about getting into Harvard, I didn't, ha. I'm still waiting for some decisions, but I'm almost certain my cycle is gonna end up with only one admision and eight rejections. I came to a conclusion it can help.. I'm so grateful about that only admission I actually wouldnt even cry about not getting into my dream school, or any other. But I wouldn't have even received that one admission if I wasn't so focused on trying to get into my first choice. So, to all of you who are thinking about re-applying next cycle, my best advice is you keep aiming to your first choice, while considering other universities you think are good fits for you even if they are not in the top 10 or 20. Best of luck to you all!
  14. Yaaaaay, I'm so happy for you!!!! Well done! In the end, it's always true: it ain't over 'til it's over!
  15. Yes, I actually was prepared to get the last replies around those dates, especially after SAIS emailed all applicants saying they'll release them on mid-March. I just want this to be over so I can start planning what's next!
  16. I'm also still waiting for Boston University, SAIS JHU, and WWS Princeton.
  17. Thom Wall is awesome, he's such a nice guy, and always willing to answer your questions! I also had a great first impression of him when I met him last year.
  18. I remember I had to answer a second form with "supplementary information", but I honestly can't recall what was it about.
  19. I was doing so well with my anxiety right until now.
  20. Well, my MIT rejection arrived. Too bad, it was one of my top choices, but the Rolling Stones know best:
