  1. I was a bit worried as well, because I send all the documents by email about 3 weeks ago and haven't received anything yet. So I contacted the International Student Office of my university. The replied that they are starting processing the documents on a first come - first served basis, not earlier than the end of May or beginning of June. My boyfriend, on the other hand, had his form posted to him within 10 days from sending his documents to his university (different from mine). So, I guess, it is just a matter of how each university works. You should contact them, so that, at least, you are not worried anymore and have a formal response.
  2. PhD (STEM) Education GPA: n/a (international student) GRE: 153V/167Q/4.0 AW Background: 4year first degree in mathematics, MA Mathematics Education, 5 years teaching experience, 2 publications (1 paper in refereed journal + 1 textbook), some research experience Applied: UCLA, UPenn, Stanford, UCB, TC, Harvard, Tufts Accepted: TC, Tufts Going: Tufts
  3. Thank you both. I do not have a specific deadline from the other University, but aren't I obliged to answer by 15th April? I thought it was like this for all universities. And, I am an international applicant, not living in the US, so I will probably send an email instead of calling. Thanks!
  4. How many of the admitted students who weren't offered any funding with their acceptance have received an award letter since the 17th March? I am wondering if there is any point in waiting any longer, or should I just accept my other offer.
  5. No, I have not even started yet! I applied and was accepted for Fall 2014. But I don't think I am going to TC anyway. No funding offered.
  6. Thanks for the info! I appreciate it! I have to admit though, cold is not something I am looking forward to!
  7. I was accepted to the PhD Mathematics Education program without an interview.
  8. I had 5 rejections out of 7 programs I applied to, before the 2 acceptances came. And I was also very disappointed. My last acceptance was from TC, so it might be the same for you as well! Good luck with that!
  9. Hello everyone I have been accepted to TC and Tufts [PhD (STEM) Education]. TC was my very first choice, but since Tufts is offering me full tuition scholarship plus RA position, I will most probably be attending there. Unless something extraordinary happens and TC offers me a similar funding package... I know... Anyway! Has anyone else been admitted to Tufts and thinking of attending? Or, is anyone already attending? If so, I would love to hear a few general comments about the school, the program, professors etc. Your overall experience and satisfaction.
  10. Decision was available for me online today, on the Apply Yourself portal. Not on the TC Next Step though. No word on funding. Do you know if this means that there is no funding for me, or do these decisions come later/separately?
  11. PhD Mathematics Education and neither for me is there a change in my application status..
  12. About the funding, I do not know if you aware of this detail, but you have the option to live in University accommodation and work 'voluntarily' as a supervisor or something. In this case, you don't need to pay for your accommodation. Just to let you know! You need to apply for this, positions are limited, obviously. But is worth knowing! Good luck!
