  1. Does anyone know who I should call to ask about when I might hear a decision? I was thinking the Program Assistant, but I just want to be sure I speak to the right person.
  2. If anyone still hasn't heard a decision from Emerson, I just called and they said that all decisions should be updated on the portal within the next 24 hours.
  3. argslp - Thank you so much! Saving this just in case....
  4. I was JUST telling my friend that I think I'm getting an ulcer! The anxiety is extremely visceral. I hope you feel better soon!!
  5. Also, did you freak out when you saw all the UT Austin decisions on the results page? I definitely did!
  6. Eee I am wondering this too! I check the portal more than 5 times a day it is a sick obsession! haha. I am so nervous, It's one of my top choices :/
  7. I currently use Interfolio because my school moved all of our saved letters of recommendations there. It's nice to be able to just contact the site instead of bothering professors for letters of recommendations (especially if you add a school to apply to later in the game). However, not all programs accept Interfolio's letter of recommendation form, because they might have a checklist or supplemental form that needs to be filled out. I'm not familiar with the plans that they offer. Which ones are you looking at? I set mine up about 2 years ago so I don't exactly remember.
  8. Thank you for the update! The waiting game is awful, but I'm hoping it will just make the good news (if I get any! Eek) even better.
  9. For some reason I thought that Nazareth's application deadline was Jan 15, so I emailed them last week because they said they will give decisions "no later than one month past the deadline." The person I e-mailed said, "We email those who are accepted and mail out a packet. For all other decisions, we mail out letters." I took it as "we rejected you" but then realized I still had another week. Except now that week has passed haha . However, if you called and they said they hadn't made a decision yet, that is a good sign!
  10. I believe "Significant Other"
  11. Oh my. My anxiety level is THROUGH THE ROOF today. So many updated results on the page, but I still haven't heard anything. Ahhh
  12. Hi ImpulsiveNixie, can you please share? I'm very curious about this as well!
  13. BriGirl - I noticed you applied to Southern Connecticut State University - how did you go about getting the waiver for the Praxis I CT exam? I sent waiver papers in November and they didn't get processed before the schools deadline.
  14. chinkspeech I check the portal constantly as well! It wasn't working on Sunday and I went crazy haha, even though I'm sure they don't update it on the weekend. My GPA is awful, 3.06 =/. My GRE was V:157 Q:157 AW:5.0. I took non-matriculated grad classes last semester and got a 4.0, but I don't think part-time GPA really counts for much. I noticed on ASHA edfind that UT Dallas has accepted people with GPAs as low as 2.76 so I'm really hoping for some good fortune. pitt123, where else did you apply?
  15. I sent my application kind of late - officially 2/04 but for whatever reason my undergraduate transcript didn't arrive until 2/14!
  16. I would love to attend UT Dallas! I haven't heard back yet though. The wait is killing me! It seems they are sending their acceptances out slowly, at least based on gradcafe.
  17. I applied to UT Dallas and would love to attend. I know some people have already been accepted, but I'm still waiting...
  18. Hey everyone! How did your interview at Emerson go? I heard this year is the first year they interviewed applicants. I'm sure you all did amazing!
  19. Hey all - A friend from TC's program got in touch with me today to let me know she had spoken to one of the professors about the applicants this year. She said that they strongly look at everything in an application, and don't focus entirely on GPA. They want to see that the personal statement paints a good picture of how the applicant is unique. She also said that they received 900 applications this year, and that they send out acceptances in rounds. I hope this is helpful!
  20. I took a couple graduate courses at TC last semester (non-matriculated), and most of the students in the program said that they did not send GRE scores. I think if you're not super happy with you scores, save the $25! Hope that helps
  21. Thank you so much for sharing! It definitely puts my mind at ease having a general idea of when decisions are sent out. Good luck to everyone!
  22. I'm sorry to hear that! This is my second year applying as well. I'm sure you will have better luck with the others!
  23. One more thing - A girl I went to undergraduate school with applied to Teachers College in January, 2012. She was notified of her acceptance March 30, 2012. I think at that time, they had a January 1st deadline.
  24. "How will I find out my decision? The Office of Admission sends official admission decision notifications electronically. Once a decision has been made on your application, you will receive an email with instructions on how to view your decision through the online application system." This is from the Application FAQ. I wonder if they get a lot of questions about that registered/waitlist title - it was such a teaser!
  25. I have the same thing on mine. I'm not sure what it means. Their previous e-mail said that they would send an e-mail when a decision has been made, and they haven't sent one.
