  1. waiting for summer!

  2. Thank you, Hatem! Good luck with your tests and applications next year!

  3. Aspiring Shrink, you must feel awful, but "hate-listed" is just funny :D

  4. I got the fulbright s&t award and seems not to play a huge role. I have 2 acceptances out of 6 - for the top schools I applied to being a fulbright definitely was not an argument in itself... Still I'm really happy to have gotten it and I think this program has eased the application pain in many ways
  5. awesome! It will happen as my decision is final now :)

  6. I heard from UMichigan 10 minutes after my phone interview, but I applied to PIBS though...

This is interesting bit of news... when I called them in feb, they said quite straight forward to me, that if you haven't heard from bbs by now then you are not accepted. (ps.i'm international applicant)
  8. I've not officially said yes to PIBS, but I'm quite sure that's where I'm going

  9. :D:D I agree! and Cedar Point is also close by ! I have actually been to Cleavland, Ann Arbor, SF and Boston and have so so overview of the places. Unfortunately not New Haven... but as I come from a small place myself, I don't like living in huge places anyway... The criminality is of course troublesome (if it is really as bad as some say), but when it comes to free time, I'd rather get out of the town into the woods/mountains etc.
  10. Thanks! It sound great. Yale is my first choice and although chances are slim, I'm also hoping to hear from them. Internationals should have phone interviews with them throughout february and march...
  11. My phone interview with U of Mich, pibs was together with two professors. And the questions were only science based - mainly about my work done so far. Very shortly I had to also talk about what I expect from PhD studies. It lasted about an hour. Very intensive...
  12. would you be so kind to share your experience at yale what you liked what not etc..
  13. this thing is driving me crazy - almost all schools have of course invited people from US to interviews but the status is so unclear for international applicants. I have definitely not heard from yale bbs or stanford biosciences, but I have also not been rejected.. I have no idea where I stand or if they have already started to do phone interviews with internationals. Information on websites usually is only about US applicants it makes you already want to give up but then again for michigan PIBS I had to wait for my interview invitation around a month longer than the domestic applicants but it all worked out great in the end... anyone else out there feeling my pain....
  14. congrats to you as well!! :)

  15. congrats and welcome to the pibs club :)

  16. people who went to UMich PIBS interview, care to share you thoughts?! I have been already accepted there, but as an international never got to see the campus . I would really appreciate any feed... what you liked, what you didn't like etc thanks
  17. 私も長い間に話したことがないからたくさん忘れたと思う。。。でも日本語素晴らしい (^^)
  18. thanks - then i will not worry yet
  19. does this also apply for international students?
  20. thanks!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you as well :)

  21. had a phone interview with Michigan PIBS today and 10 min after that I received an acceptance letter! happy happy!
  22. so the UCSF rejection waive reached the international students - got a very polite personal email apologizing for not offering me admission and wishing me success etc... they said they had exceptionally high number of applications this year and not so much space.. I was hoping that my full funding would help me get into this school as they are having hard times... but i guess not. a little sad gremot
  23. this was actually really interesting to read
  24. super! congrats must feel awesome!
