It's still pretty early for Alternate to turn. It's like college admissions--a lot can change between notifications and summer. That is why the summer melt is a thing. Just be patient; hope is not lost for Alternates.

Congratulations!

This is pretty annoying. Family and friends keep asking me about Fulbright on a daily basis and I never have anything to say. I guess the "Still?!?!" responses at least validate my impatience. I did, however, find out today that my school will have the the Fulbright director for Poland host a lunch with students a few weeks from now. While I may not be interested in Poland, if I get rejected by then, she might have some advise on reapplying. Trying oh-so-desperately to stay positive.

I'm getting really jealous of the people that applied to Europe. I really expected Asia to get things going after Japan was notified. Oh well! Patience is a virtue, after all. At least since I'm going to a human rights conference all weekend, I won't be anxiously checking my tomorrow and will have a nice distraction.

At least the ones you get actually apply to you. Mine are directed at Juniors telling them about the meeting for the 2015-2016 application cycle. I already went last year! That is why they endorsed my application! I get they want to make sure people know about this opportunity, but isn't there some method to alter the mailing list so that those of use freaking out don't have a heart attack every other time we open our email. Sorry, I know this is a silly rant, but it bugs me.

I just want to thank you guys for keeping me sane during a very stressful time.

I think each country is different. I know Korea has ETAs fill out preference forms about halfway through orientation and then matches them in a formal ceremony about a week later.

Now that I noticed that Japan also had the letter designation in the subject line, I am convinced Korea will too. Oh no... Why would they do that to us?

I decided I like the idea of finding out Tuesday, April 1st. That way I will both submit my thesis and find out about Fulbright at the same time. If I get it, I'll have double the reason to celebrate and if I don't I'll be able to think that at least one thing that accomplished.

This just made my day! I'm currently in the middle of finishing my BA thesis in addition to the torture of waiting to hear from Fulbright; I really needed a mental break. The 5 solid minutes that resulted from this post were absolute perfection. Thank you!

This was a really cool article, but it just made me more anxious.... When Korea? When? I hate the waiting. The not know is really distracting me, which is terrible--my BA thesis is due in less than a week.
