    got an email from grad director that some of my fellow cohort peeps haven't registered for two courses this spring, which may mean they are cancelled, yet they are REQUIRED. He pleaded them to register. C'mon people! I don't need this stress from you!

      Could you petition to take it as an independent study?

      Possibly...but one of them is literally a course that is required by everyone...so there is no way it could be canceled. The other is one of the electives...it's just baffling. We are only offered 3 courses this semester, which means we are required to take all three as grad students.
